Guinea: Diouf, Zokora, Kader Keita; stars announced for charity match

A charity football match, titled “One match, one cause”, was officially launched on Monday in Conakry, bringing together organizers and members of the press. The initiative aims to combine football with social impact, with plans to make it an annual event if successful.

The inaugural edition focuses on women’s rights, emancipation, and education. Proceeds from the match will be donated to the NGO African Initiatives For Women (AIW).

The game, scheduled for April 5th in Conakry, will feature legends of Guinea’s national team, Syli National, facing off against legends of African football. Notable participants from across the continent include:

  • Senegal: El Hadji Diouf, Diomansy Kamara

  • Ivory Coast: Kader Keita, Didier Zokora

  • Guinea: Titi Camara, Pascal Feindouno, Kaba Diawara, Salam Sow, Edgar Sylla

Mehdi Saad, Managing Director of SportFever Management, described the event as a long-term project aimed at raising awareness and funds for women’s causes while celebrating football legends.
