Guinea-Bissau rooted defender Dayot Upamecano sidelined for several weeks due to injury
French international of Guinea-Bissau root, Dayot Upamecano is set for a lengthy spell on the sidelined after picking up an injury during the March international break.
Upamecano, who plies his trade for Bayern Munich sustained an injury at France camp during preparation for the UEFA Nations League quarterfinals clash against Croatia.
The enterprising defender has been diagnosed with a ligament strain and inspected to spend time on the sideline.
This come as a huge blow for Bayern Munich as the team gear up for the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals against Inter Milan.
The 26-year-old has made 33 appearances this season for Bayern Munich, scoring two goals across the period.
Meanwhile, Upamecano will be hoping to recover in time for the remainder of the 2024/25 season.
