Guinea begin UFOA-A U17 campaign against Liberia

Guinea will make their debut at the UFOA-A U17 tournament on Friday, 11 September 2026, when they face Liberia in Group B. The match kicks off at 16:00 GMT at Stade Lat-Dior de Thies.

The group’s opening fixture ended in a 1-1 draw between Mali and Liberia. Guinea-Bissau were subsequently disqualified, reducing Group B to three teams.

That change has increased the importance of Friday’s meeting for both Guinea and Liberia. A win would give the victorious side an early advantage in the race to reach the semi-finals.

Guinea’s Syli national cadet will be seeking a positive start to their campaign, while Liberia will aim to build on the result against Mali after holding them to a draw.
