Guela Doue: AC Milan eye move for Strasbourg and Ivory Coast right-back

AC Milan are exploring a move for Ivorian-French right-back Guela Doue from Ligue 1 side Strasbourg. The 23-year-old, who represents Ivory Coast and is currently under contract with the Alsace club, has emerged as a target for the Serie A side as they assess options on the right of their defence.

Doue is valued at around 20m and is tied to Strasbourg until June 2029, meaning Milan would likely need a substantial fee to tempt the French club into negotiations. Strasbourg only signed the defender in July 2024 from Stade Rennais for 6m, and the long-term deal puts them in a strong position should formal talks begin.

Capable of operating at right-back, the 1.87m defender has established himself in Ligue 1 with Strasbourg and previously Rennes, amassing more than 80 top-flight appearances and contributing three goals and 12 assists. He has also featured in European competition, including the Europa League and Europa Conference League, further adding to his experience at a high level.

On the international stage, Doue played in all four of Ivory Coasts matches at the 2026 World Cup, starting the majority of games and registering significant minutes as part of their back line. His performances on that stage have helped raise his profile among leading European clubs.

For now, Doue remains an important part of Strasbourgs plans, with his contract running for another three years beyond this season and his market value at its highest level since his breakthrough in France.
