Gueïda Fofana has attracted the attention of a prominent German club, according to reports from the daily Bild. Stuttgart is reportedly interested in the midfielder from Olympique Lyonnais and even dispatched emissaries to observe his performance during Lyon’s match against PSG on December 1, which ended in a 0-4 defeat for Lyon. Fofana’s current contract is set to expire in June 2015, and while he hasn’t ruled out an extension, he emphasizes the importance of mutual trust between himself and the club.
Interestingly, Fofana is not the sole Lyon player on Stuttgart’s radar. His teammate Miguel Lopes has also captured the interest of the German team. The Portuguese full-back, initially loaned to OL from Sporting Portugal for one season, adds another layer to Stuttgart’s considerations in the transfer market.
