OFFICIAL: Gabonese Defender Yrondu Musavu-King Signs Five-Year Deal with Granada
Yrondu Musavu-King was officially unveiled to the press on Saturday morning as the Gabonese international begins a new chapter in his career with Granada CF. The central defender, whose contract with Caen has come to an end, has signed a five-year contract with the Spanish club, according to L’Équipe.
During the 2014-2015 season, Musavu-King featured in just six matches for Caen, scoring one goal. Despite his limited playing time, Granada’s management sees great potential in the 23-year-old.
Club sporting director Juan Carlos Cordero spoke highly of the new recruit:
“Musavu is an aggressive and powerful player. He is strong in aerial duels and demonstrates good control.”
Musavu-King becomes another African addition to La Liga, and Granada will hope his physicality and defensive prowess will bolster their backline in the upcoming season.
