Graham Potter backs Ghana’s Mohammed Kudus to shine with right balance at West Ham

West Ham United manager Graham Potter believes Ghanaian international Mohammed Kudus can become a “top, top player” if the team finds the right balance to maximize his abilities.

The attacking midfielder has struggled to consistently deliver his best performances this season, reflecting the team’s broader challenges in a difficult campaign.

The versatile forward has yet to play beyond 70 minutes in most games since Potter took charge.

Despite his limited playing time, Kudus has scored three Premier League goals and provided one assist.

However, his overall impact has fallen short of expectations, mirroring West Ham’s inconsistent performances this season.

Speaking ahead of their upcoming Premier League fixture against Aston Villa, Potter expressed confidence in Kudus’ potential but stressed the need for adaptation.

“Mo has had to adapt a bit. He’s taken on every challenge in a good way, and I think he’s someone who can play in lots of positions in the front three. If we can get the balance right, we’ve got a top, top player,” Potter said.

As West Ham prepare to face Aston Villa, Kudus will hope that the game will be the beginning of a good run for him.
