Gracien Deseri: Italy-DR Congo defender leaves Novara to become free agent
Italy-DR Congo right-back Gracien Deseri has left Novara and is now a free agent after ending his spell with the Serie C side.
The 20-year-old defender departs the Italian club following their campaign in Serie C Group A, and is now without a club as he considers the next step of his career.
Deseri, who is comfortable at right-back, had been on the books at Novara as the Piedmont outfit competed in the third tier of Italian football. His exit brings an early close to his time with the club, opening the door to a move elsewhere.
Born in 2005 and eligible to represent both Italy and DR Congo, Deseri now enters the market at an age where he can still develop his game and gain experience at senior level. His current market valuation is listed at €100,000, underlining the regard in which he is held within the lower tiers of the Italian game.
Novara, who play in Serie C – A, lose a defensive option on the right flank, while Deseri will be able to negotiate directly with interested clubs outside the constraints of the transfer window.
Deseri’s departure from Novara and transition to free-agent status has been registered as of 29 July 2026.
