Golden Arrows coach Manqoba Mngqithi explains how he outsmart Mamelodi Sundowns

Golden Arrows coach Manqoba Mngqithi has revealed how he masterminded to secure victory over Mamelodi Sundowns in the South African Premier League.

Golden Arrows became the first South African Premiership side to beat Mamelodi Sundowns in the league since March, a streak that ran over 14 matches.

Sundowns’ last defeat in the Premier League was against Orlando Pirates, where the Brazilian succumbed to a 2-1 loss.

Explaining how his sides defeated Sundowns, coach Mngqithi said, “Most teams do not put Sundowns under pressure,” Mngqithi said at the post-match conference. “It’s very difficult to see that Sundowns sometimes do not defend very well,” he said. “I know it, I was coaching this team. I know what happens in moments where they are under a lot of pressure…”

Golden Arrows are currently 11th on the Premier League standings with 10 points, accumulating 10 points, while Sundowns sit second spot with 18 points.
