Godwin Eiseb: Namibia midfielder linked with Orapa United move from African Stars
Namibia attacking midfielder Godwin Eiseb is being linked with a move from African Stars to Botswana Premier League side Orapa United FC. The 26-year-old, who plays in the No.10 role for the Windhoek club, is understood to be attracting interest from Orapa as they look to strengthen their creative options ahead of the new campaign.
Eiseb joined African Stars from UNAM FC on 25 July 2024 and has since established himself in the heart of their attack. Born in Windhoek on 4 May 2000, he has become a key figure for the Namibian champions and has gained valuable experience on the continental stage.
That exposure has included a run in the CAF Champions League, where Eiseb has featured in three matches, playing every minute of African Stars’ campaign so far with 270 minutes logged. His performances in that competition are thought to have drawn admiring glances from clubs outside Namibia, with Orapa United now emerging as a potential destination.
A move to Botswana would mark Eiseb’s first step into a foreign league, adding an international dimension to a career spent entirely in Namibian football to date. African Stars, who only brought him in last season, may face a decision over whether to cash in on one of their notable midfielders or retain him as they continue to compete domestically and in Africa.
Eiseb currently remains contracted to African Stars, with no agreement yet in place for a transfer.
