Godfred Bekoe: FA Illkirch Graffenstaden sign veteran forward on free transfer from FCOSK 06

FA Illkirch Graffenstaden have signed centre-forward Godfred Bekoe from FCOSK 06 on a free transfer, completing the move on 7 July 2026.

Bekoe, 33, joins the French side as an experienced attacking option after three years with FCO Strasbourg Koenigshoffen 06. The Ghanaian-French striker, who stands at 1.76m and favours his right foot, moves within the French pyramid without a transfer fee being paid.

Born in Kumasi on 12 November 1992, Bekoe has spent the bulk of his senior career in France following spells in Cyprus, Bulgaria and Romania earlier in his career. His last recorded market valuation peaked at 100,000 in 2014 during his time with Chernomorets 1919 Burgas, before falling to zero in 2016 when he was without a club, underlining the longevity of his subsequent return to the professional game.

Before his latest switch, Bekoe established himself in the French lower leagues with a sequence of moves that took him from SC Schiltigheim to FR Haguenau in 2019, then to Angouleme Charente FC in 2022, and on to FCOSK 06 in 2023. His move to FA Illkirch Graffenstaden marks the next step in a career that has been rooted in the Alsace and wider French football landscape in recent seasons.

Earlier in his journey, Bekoe progressed through Racing Strasbourgs youth ranks before moving to EA Guingamps reserve side in 2011, a platform that led to his first experiences abroad with Olympiakos Nicosia, Chernomorets Burgas and Gaz Metan Medias between 2013 and 2015.

Bekoe is now registered as an FA Illkirch Graffenstaden player for the 2026-27 campaign.
