The Confederation of African Football (CAF) is set to present the Glo-Caf awards during a ceremony in Ghana. Perpetua Nkwocha, last year’s winner for the best African footballer, will not defend her title, as she is not among the nominees this year. However, her teammate Chinwendu Ihezuo is in the running, along with Equatorial Guinea’s Genoveva Anoman and South Africa’s Portia Modise. While Nkwocha is absent from this year’s competition, she is also nominated in the same category at the Africa Top Sports Awards. The captain of Equatorial Guinea, Genoveva Anoman, is also among the nominees for the Africa Top Sports Awards.
