Glenn Younousse: Comoros-French right-back joins Aviron Bayonnais on free transfer

Aviron Bayonnais have added Comoros-French defender Glenn Younousse to their squad, with the right-back joining from FC Balagne on a free transfer.

The 22-year-old, born in Bordeaux and right-footed, moves up to National 1 Group B after spending last season in the French fourth tier with Balagne. His arrival further strengthens Bayonnais’ options on the right side of defence ahead of the new campaign.

Younousse, who stands at 1.80m, has built his senior experience primarily in National 2. Across his time in the division he has made more than 60 appearances, including a run of 40 games in one National 2 group campaign in which he accumulated almost 3,000 minutes on the pitch. He has also featured in the Coupe de France and youth cup competition the Coupe Gambardella.

Before signing for Balagne in February 2026, Younousse had a brief spell without a club following his departure from Girondins de Bordeaux’s B team. He had progressed through the Bordeaux youth system, stepping up from the under-19s to the reserve side in 2022 and collecting over 30 matches at under-19 level, where he also scored twice.

His move to Aviron Bayonnais marks a return to a higher competitive level after his National 2 stint in Corsica. Younousse joins Bayonnais with the transfer completed as a permanent free move from FC Balagne.
