Renowned French coach Alain Giresse, who has traversed the fields of African football, has unveiled his list of contenders for victory in the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations scheduled to take place in Ivory Coast in approximately two weeks, featuring the “Atlas Lions” of Morocco.
In an interview with “Africa Top Sports,” Giresse emphasized that the AFCON finals will witness the participation of the continent’s strongest teams, asserting that Morocco, Senegal, Nigeria, Ivory Coast, and Algeria all possess the qualities to clinch the coveted trophy.

It’s noteworthy that national coach Walid Regragui will announce, in a press conference tomorrow, the final list of players invited to participate in the Africa Cup of Nations, along with the preparations schedule before traveling to Ivory Coast.
The Moroccan national team will kick off their AFCON campaign in Group C, playing their first match against Tanzania on January 17.
Subsequently, they will face the Democratic Republic of Congo on January 21, concluding the group stage with a match against Zambia on January 24.
