Giovanni Odalo has completed a move to Pavia Calcio 1911 from SCD Progresso Calcio on a free transfer, joining the Serie D – B side after a short spell in Girone D with Progresso. The 21-year-old second striker, who holds both Italian and Nigerian nationality, arrives with a current market valuation of €50,000 and will begin his contract with Pavia on 03/12/2025, running until 03/12/2026.

The deal sees Pavia bring in a young attacking option without paying a fee, after Progresso allowed Odalo to leave at the end of his stint with the club. The transfer keeps the forward in Italy’s fourth tier but shifts him across to a different regional group, with Pavia competing in Serie D – B while Progresso play in Serie D – D.

Odalo’s move caps a remarkably busy year in his career. In the 2025–26 season alone he has already been registered with three different clubs. He started the campaign at ASD Fanfulla, then switched to Club Milano in July, moved on to Progresso in late September, and has now signed for Pavia in December. Each step has kept him within Italian football, but the latest transfer gives him a new platform at a club with ambitions of climbing the league structure.

Born in Sant’Angelo Lodigiano on 29 September 2004, Odalo came through the ranks at Cremonese, progressing from the Under-17 side to Cremonese Primavera in 2021. He left the Primavera squad for Fanfulla in January 2023, where he began to build his senior reputation. During his time at Fanfulla his market value rose steadily, climbing from €10,000 in mid-2023 to €100,000 by May 2025, reflecting a period of clear development and increasing responsibility in attack.

A right-footed forward whose main position is second striker, Odalo offers Pavia an option between the lines and around the box, linking midfield and attack. His recent experience has been concentrated in Serie D, having appeared for Fanfulla and Progresso in the division. The most recent valuation update, made while he was at Progresso in November 2025, set his worth at €50,000, underlining how his stock has been monitored closely despite a sequence of swift moves.

Odalo’s club history now includes Cremonese Under 17, Cremonese Primavera, ASD Fanfulla, Club Milano, SCD Progresso Calcio and Pavia Calcio 1911, all within Italy. For both his Italian and Nigerian supporters, the latest transfer maintains his trajectory inside the competitive environment of Serie D, where consistent performances for Pavia could be crucial in determining his next step.

With a one-year deal in place, Odalo’s immediate task will be to secure a regular place in Pavia’s attack and stabilise after a year of frequent changes. If he can recapture the form that drove his rise in value at Fanfulla and adapt quickly to his new surroundings, this move to Pavia could yet become a springboard to higher levels of the Italian game and a more prominent role for the dual-national forward.
