Gift Orban joins Amed SFK on loan from Hoffenheim

Gift Orban is leaving TSG Hoffenheim on loan again, this time for Amed SFK in Turkey.

The move includes a purchase option, which can become an obligation if certain conditions are met.

Hoffenheim sporting director Paul Pajduch said the club received several enquiries after Orban’s strong spell at Hellas Verona, where he produced seven goals and three assists in 28 matches. He added that both sides felt the Turkish move was the right step, as Orban will now have the chance to show his ability in a demanding league.

The Nigerian forward is still under contract in the Kraichgau until 2029, so Hoffenheim retain long-term control over his future even while he continues his career away from the Bundesliga. For Orban, the loan offers another opportunity to rebuild momentum and prove he can be a reliable scorer after changing clubs again. Orban started his football career at Bison FC in Nigeria.

Amed SFK will hope his pace and direct finishing can make an immediate difference, while Hoffenheim will be watching closely to see whether the deal eventually turns permanent.

According to Transfermarkt, Gift Orban’s current market value is €7,000,000.
