Gift Orban attracting transfer interest despite Hoffenheim return

Gift Orban’s return to Hoffenheim may not last long, as the striker is already drawing transfer interest.

Reports say US Lecce and Turkish newcomer Amed SK are both seriously exploring a move for the 23-year-old, with talks already underway.

Hoffenheim still regard Orban as a likely departure, especially after his loan spell at Hellas Verona. Under Christian Ilzer, he is no longer central to the club’s plans, and the Bundesliga side are understood to be willing to negotiate a sale.

The price tag could also help push things forward. Hoffenheim are said to be open to letting him go for around five million euros, which is well below the nine million euros they paid when they signed him in January 2025.

For Orban, the next step remains unclear, but the market is already taking shape. If one of the interested clubs moves quickly, Hoffenheim may be ready to close the deal and move on from a signing that did not fully work out.

According to Transfermarkt, Orban’s current market value is €7,000,000.
