Gianni Infantino applauds Chad FA strides as Milezi Academy renovation boosts youth development
FIFA President Gianni Infantino has praised developments in Chadian football after sharing a video message on Instagram following his address to the Chadian Football Association General Assembly.
In the post, Infantino congratulated stakeholders on the renovation of the Milezi Academy, describing it as a significant boost for youth development in Chad.
“It was my pleasure to address the Chadian Football Association’s General Assembly and congratulate everyone celebrating the renovation of the Milezi Academy,” Infantino said in the video shared on Instagram.
He emphasised the importance of the FIFA Forward Programme, noting that the initiative continues to support projects aimed at improving infrastructure and creating opportunities for young players.
“Through the FIFA Forward Programme, FIFA proudly supports such projects that create opportunities, strengthen infrastructure, and pave the way for young talent to grow and flourish,” he added.
The refurbished Milezi Academy is expected to serve as a cornerstone for talent development in the country, offering improved facilities and a more structured environment for nurturing future stars.
Infantino also acknowledged the leadership of Tahir Oloy Hassan, who recently marked one year in office, expressing confidence in the federation’s direction under his guidance.
“As President Tahir Oloy Hassan completes his first anniversary leading the federation, I look forward to continuing our work to build a bright future for Chadian football through long-term, sustainable development,” Infantino noted.
The message reflects FIFA’s continued engagement with emerging football nations, with Chad aiming to rebuild and strengthen its football structures through sustained investment and governance reforms.
