Ghazl El-Mahalla Club’s management has successfully finalized the acquisition of Ahmed Castelo, former Aswan defender, to bolster the ranks of the first football team during the ongoing winter transfer window.
The signing ceremony took place in the presence of Tamer Khalil, the club’s vice president, and Ahmed Ramadan, the director of contracts.
Ahmed Castelo, who has previously played for both Ismaily and Aswan, committed to a 3.5-year contract with Ghazl El-Mahalla.
The strategic move aims to enhance the defensive capabilities of Ghazl El-Mahalla as they navigate through the remainder of the professional league season.
Currently occupying the third position on the league table with 29 points, they trail the table-topping Petrojet by a margin of 9 points.
Ahmed Castelo’s versatile experience in the Egyptian football scene, having donned the colors of Ismaily and Aswan in the past, adds a layer of defensive prowess to Ghazl El-Mahalla’s lineup.
