Ghanaian winger Kelvin Ofori nets first Olimpija Ljubljana goal in dominant win over Primorje
Ghanaian forward Kelvin Ofori reached an important milestone in his time with NK Olimpija Ljubljana after scoring his first goal for the club in a convincing 3-0 victory against NK Primorje in the Slovenian Prva Liga.
The 24-year-old, who arrived on loan in January, capped an impressive team performance with a calm and clinical finish late in the encounter. His strike came with nine minutes remaining, putting the final touch on a dominant display from the Ljubljana-based side.
Olimpija made a fast start and quickly took control of proceedings, with Slovenian midfielder Dino Kojic opening the scoring just two minutes into the match. The early goal set the rhythm for the hosts, who maintained their grip on the game and consistently threatened in attack.
Their advantage was extended in the 63rd minute when Macedonian forward Dimitar Mitrovski completed a well-constructed move to double the lead and place the result firmly in their hands.
Ofori’s late goal added further gloss to the scoreline, sealing all three points and highlighting his growing influence within the team.
Currently on loan from SK Slovan Bratislava, where he featured alongside fellow Ghanaian Rahim Ibrahim and Togolese international Zuberu Sharani, Ofori will take confidence from this breakthrough moment as he aims to secure a regular role and deliver consistent performances in the Slovenian top flight.
