Mohammed Kudus has officially completed a move to Tottenham Hotspur, leaving West Ham United just two years after arriving in the Premier League from Ajax Amsterdam.

The Ghana international has committed to a six-year contract with the North London club, tying him to Spurs until June 2031.

The transfer marks a significant step in the 23-year-old’s career as he remains in England but embarks on a new chapter under Tottenham’s sporting project.

Kudus, affectionately nicknamed “Starboy” in his homeland, revealed that his decision to join Tottenham was influenced by a combination of factors, most notably the long-term vision presented by the club and its manager.

“One of the most important reasons I came here is the project and how the manager sees it, and the opportunity to play under his leadership,” he explained, signalling his strong belief in the direction the team is heading.

While the specifics of Tottenham’s offer were not disclosed, Kudus made clear that the presence of head coach Thomas Frank played a pivotal role in convincing him to make the switch.

The midfielder appeared impressed not only by the club’s ambitions but also by the chance to develop further under a manager known for his tactical clarity and focus on nurturing talent.

Kudus joined West Ham in 2023 after making a name for himself at Dutch giants Ajax, where his technical ability and creativity earned widespread acclaim.

During his time with the Hammers, he featured in 80 matches across all competitions, scoring 19 goals and providing 13 assists.

His performances quickly made him a fan favourite at the London Stadium and a standout among African talents in the English top flight.

Despite a relatively short stint at West Ham, Kudus leaves the club with his reputation significantly enhanced.

His dynamic playing style, marked by explosive runs, vision, and goal-scoring instincts, now becomes part of Tottenham’s attacking arsenal as they look to reassert themselves as contenders both domestically and in Europe.

Tottenham’s decision to secure Kudus on a long-term deal reflects their faith in his potential and consistency at the highest level.

For Kudus, the move represents both a fresh opportunity and a vote of confidence in his abilities to contribute meaningfully to the club’s ambitions.

His arrival is expected to bolster Tottenham’s midfield options, adding depth, creativity, and flair in the final third.

With the guidance of Thomas Frank and a well-defined project in place, Kudus is poised to continue his upward trajectory in English football.

As the new season approaches, fans and analysts alike will be watching closely to see how the Ghanaian adapts to life in North London and what impact he will make in a side eager to return to its former heights.
