Ghanaian midfielder Michael Agbekpornu joins Raja Club Athletic on three-year deal
Ghanaian midfielder Michael Agbekpornu has completed a move to Moroccan giants Raja Club Athletic, signing a three-year contract as the Casablanca club continues to strengthen its squad ahead of the new Botola Pro season.
The 27-year-old joins Raja after spells with Dreams FC in Ghana and Spanish side SD Huesca, bringing experience gained across Ghanaian, Albanian, Croatian and Spanish football to one of North Africa’s most decorated clubs.
Raja confirmed the midfielder’s arrival after finalising the transfer, making him one of the club’s latest additions during the summer recruitment drive as they seek to build a squad capable of challenging for domestic honours.
Agbekpornu first established himself with Dreams FC, where he captained the Ghana Premier League side before embarking on a move to Europe.
He went on to win the Albanian Cup with KF Egnatia, impressed during three seasons with Croatian top-flight club Slaven Belupo, and secured a transfer to Huesca earlier this year.
His switch to Raja now offers another significant opportunity, with the midfielder set to compete in Morocco’s highly competitive top flight for a club renowned for its passionate support and continental ambitions.
