Ghanaian talent Araphat Mohammed faces a lengthy recovery period ahead of the 2025/26 season following an Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injury sustained over the weekend.
The 19-year-old was forced off during FC Nordsjælland’s friendly clash with AC Horsens after an on-field challenge late in the game led to the serious setback.
Araphat, who came on as a substitute, will now be sidelined for several months.
Signed by Nordsjælland after graduating from the Right to Dream Academy, the young midfielder made six appearances in his debut season last year.
Unfortunately, his injury means he will miss the club’s upcoming pre-season training camp in Austria.
“We are very sorry about Araphat. He had come back well after the summer break and was well underway with the preseason, and then it’s just hard when the accident hits that way,” Nordsjaelland football director Alexander Riget said.
“But of course, we will do everything we can to get him back as strongly and as quickly as possible,” he added.
