Ghanaian international Asumah Abubakar has successfully secured a move to Austria Lustenau in the current transfer window.
The 28-year-old joins the Austrian second-tier outfit until the end of the season and is expected to play a huge role for the club.
The former FC Luzern attacker joins the Planet Pure Stadion outfit as a free agent after severing ties with Maltese Premier League club Birkirkara FC in the recent window.
”The ink is dry, SC Austria Lustenau’s new attacking player has landed on the Rhine. The Green-Whites have made a move in the transfer market, strengthening their squad with Portuguese striker Asumah Abubakar.” Wrote the club.
However, the Ghanaian international has expressed joy after securing a move to the club, while promising to give his all to the club.
”I’m happy to be here now. I’ve come to strengthen the team and will give everything to achieve our shared goals. I’m looking forward to the team, the club, and especially the fans.”
Asumah has a vast experience in the various divisions across Europe having taken in spells with Grasshoppers Zurich, FC Luzern, FC Lugano, Brisbane Roar and SC Kriens so far in his football career.
Despite featuring for Portugal youth team, the Kumasi-born native still remains eligible to represent Ghana at the international level.
