Ghanaian defender Philip Gameli Awuku joins Şanlıurfaspor in three-year deal

Şanlıurfaspor have reinforced their backline with the signing of Ghanaian center-back Philip Gameli Awuku.

The Turkish club secured the services of the 23-year-old defender, adding depth and competition to their defensive setup.

Awuku has signed a contract that keeps him at the club until 2026. His current market value stands at €300,000, and he is expected to play a crucial role in the team’s defensive stability.

Şanlıurfaspor confirmed the signing with an official statement:

“Our club signed a contract with professional footballer Philip Gameli Awuku. At the signing ceremony accompanied by our club manager İsmail Şimşek, Philip Gameli Awuku officially joined our team.”

The Ghanaian defender’s arrival is seen as a key move to strengthen the squad as they push for success in the Trendyol 1st League. His presence is expected to boost competition in the defensive lineup, providing more solidity at the back for the yellow-green team.

Şanlıurfaspor is currently 18th on the league table with 25 points after 21 games.
