Ghanaian defender Emmanuel Twumasi has completed his move to Polish club Piast Gliwice.
The player has signed for the new club with a lot of expectations and will be expected to use his wealth of experience from the Major League Soccer (MLS) to help the new club achieve success.
“Emmanuel Twumasi has become a new player for Piast Gliwice. The defender, who has over 100 appearances in the American MLS league, has signed a two-year contract with the Blue and Reds with an option to extend it,” Piast Gliwice said in an official statement.
The club continued, “Emmanuel Twumasi is from Ghana. He was born on May 18, 1997 in the capital of this country, Accra. He came to the United States in 2016. His adventure with American football began with representing the team in college, Wake Forest Demon Deacons. Playing there for two seasons, he recorded 47 appearances, in which he scored 16 goals and had 11 assists.
“The new Piast defender has a total of 103 MLS appearances and 38 USLC (the second tier of the US) under his belt. After a successful trial period with the Gliwice team, he signed with Piast for another two years,”
Emmanuel Twumasi is now set to begin a new chapter of his career in Poland after spending almost seven years at FC Dallas.
