Ghanaian coach David Ocloo has been appointed as the new head coach of AS OTR, marking the beginning of a fresh chapter for the Togolese Revenue Office team.
Tasked with elevating the club’s performance, Ocloo is set to lead his squad in their Togolese first division championship opener this Saturday, December 14.
Ocloo’s appointment comes after the departure of Ametokodo Messan, with AS OTR aiming to surpass last season’s third-place finish and secure a spot in the top two. The stakes are high, and the club’s management believes Ocloo is the right man to achieve this ambition.
Although he may not be a household name in Togo, David Ocloo is no stranger to Ghanaian football. He previously served as an assistant coach for prominent Premier League clubs, including Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak.
As Ocloo takes his place on the bench for his first match, the Togolese football fraternity will be watching to see if he can deliver on AS OTR’s big goals and cement his reputation beyond Ghana’s borders.
