Ghanaian attacker Ragnar Ache rules out Eintracht Frankfurt return
Ragnar Ache has made it clear that a return to his former club, Eintracht Frankfurt, is not on his mind, insisting his focus is fully on life at 1. FC Köln.
The 27-year-old striker emphasised that his time in Frankfurt is behind him and he is fully committed to his current project in Cologne.
“I’ve put that behind me. I’m very happy here in Cologne. For now, my time in Frankfurt is over,” he said.
Why Ache Chose Köln
Ache joined Köln in the summer of 2025 after leaving 1. FC Kaiserslautern, explaining that his ambition to compete at the highest level guided his decision.
He noted that the opportunity to play in a more competitive environment made the move an easy choice when the offer arrived from the Bundesliga side.
“My goal has always been to play at the highest possible level – whether that’s the Bundesliga, Serie A, or the Premier League. When the offer from FC Köln came, it was immediately clear to me that I would take it.”
Strong Start in Cologne
Since his arrival, Ache has become an important attacking option for Köln, contributing consistently in front of goal. He has registered 8 goals and 7 assists in 30 competitive appearances so far.
Future Focus
For now, the striker remains committed to helping Köln progress, with any speculation about a return to Frankfurt firmly put to rest as he continues to build his career in the Bundesliga.
