Atalanta have moved to quash speculation over Kamaldeen Sulemana’s future, insisting the Ghanaian winger will remain at the club.
Sulemana, 24, had been linked with Napoli and AS Roma during the winter transfer window after struggling for regular playing time.
The winger has featured in just 22 matches across all competitions this season, scoring twice.
But with Nigeria’s Ademola Lookman set to join Atletico Madrid, Atalanta are determined to retain Sulemana despite interest from other clubs.
Insider Alessandro Giovanni Pagliarini reports that Napoli are close to securing Brazilian Alisson Santos on loan from Sporting Lisbon, while AS Roma are finalising a deal for Bryan Zaragoza from Celta Vigo.
These moves have strengthened Atalanta’s position, making it likely that Sulemana will stay put as the midseason transfer window closes later tonight.
Sulemana joined Atalanta from Southampton on a five-year contract worth up to £18 million.
He will now focus on earning a spot in Ghana’s squad for the 2026 World Cup, set to be co-hosted by the USA, Canada, and Mexico this summer.
