Berekum Chelsea and its manager, Samuel Boadu, find themselves under scrutiny for allegedly violating Ghana Premier League regulations following their recent encounter against Legon Cities FC.

The allegations center around breaches of Article 38 (8) (a) and Article 34 (6) (a) of the 2019 regulations, specifically related to the post-match procedures.

According to reports from the Ghanaian press, Berekum Chelsea failed to comply with the mandatory requirement of presenting Coach Boadu at the post-match press conference.

Furthermore, Boadu himself stands accused of intentionally avoiding attendance at the said conference.

These alleged infractions have raised concerns within the Ghanaian football community, prompting authorities to take action.

Berekum Chelsea and Coach Boadu have been given until May 9, 2024, to respond to the accusations laid against them.

The Ghana Premier League has long upheld stringent regulations aimed at maintaining the integrity and professionalism of the competition.

Compliance with these regulations is considered paramount to the fair and orderly conduct of league affairs.

Instances of non-compliance, such as the alleged breaches by Berekum Chelsea and Coach Boadu, are taken seriously and may result in disciplinary measures being imposed.

Sanctions could range from fines to more severe penalties, depending on the severity of the infractions and the club’s response.

As stakeholders await further developments, the incident serves as a reminder of the importance of adherence to established protocols and regulations in professional football.

The outcome of the investigation will ultimately determine the fate of Berekum Chelsea and its embattled coach, Samuel Boadu, in the ongoing Premier League season.
