Ghana name 32-player squad for decisive U23 qualifying tie against Libya

Ghana have announced a 32-player training squad as they step up preparations for their second-round Africa Cup of Nations U23 qualifying tie against Libya.

Black Meteors head coach Desmond Osei will use the camp to assess his options and identify the players he believes can secure progress to the third qualifying round.

The Ghana Football Association says the squad is expected to remain in residential camp. It added that “temporary leave authorisations may be granted each week at the request of their clubs to allow them to take part in Ghanaian league matches”.

Players based abroad are also expected to join the group before the two-legged meeting with Libya.

Ghana were given a bye in the first round and will begin their campaign against a Libya side that eliminated Togo. The two matches are scheduled to take place between 9 and 17 November 2026.
