Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey is set to hit the open market this summer, with his Arsenal contract due to expire at the end of June.
Despite being one of the Gunners’ most consistent performers this season, featuring more prominently and contributing more goals than in any of his previous four campaigns at the club, Partey appears to be heading for the exit.
Arsenal are reportedly prepared to part ways with the 32-year-old, who has already drawn interest from clubs in Spain, Italy, and the Saudi Pro League.
While Partey is said to prefer staying in Europe, Saudi Pro League sides have initiated talks with his representatives, reportedly offering a lucrative three-year deal in a bid to lure him to the Middle East.
With Arsenal aiming to mount a stronger title challenge against Liverpool next season, the club is expected to seek a high-calibre replacement in midfield.
Partey, who was absent from Arsenal’s emphatic win over Ipswich Town at the weekend, is expected to return to the squad when they host Crystal Palace at The Emirates on Wednesday night.
