Ghana midfielder Edmond Asante begins Israeli adventure with H. Petah Tikva

Ghanaian midfielder Edmond Asante has joined H. Petah Tikva from Vision FC on loan, completing a move that takes the 19-year-old from Ghana’s Premier League to Israel’s top flight.

Asante, who plays in central midfield, made the switch on 18 August 2026. He becomes a new addition to H. Petah Tikva’s squad after leaving Vision FC, the Ghanaian club from which he moves for the temporary transfer.

The move gives Asante his first recorded change of club outside Ghana. His new side competes in the Ligat ha’Al, Israel’s highest division, while Vision FC play in Ghana’s Premier League.

Born on 13 September 2006, Asante is a Ghana international by nationality and is listed as a central midfielder. His role places him in the middle of the pitch as he begins a new chapter of his career in Israeli football.

The transfer is recorded as a loan, with no fee attached to the move. Asante’s agreement with H. Petah Tikva runs until 30 June 2027.

His arrival links the Ghanaian and Israeli leagues through a deal completed during the 2026 transfer window. Vision FC remain Asante’s parent club for the loan arrangement, while H. Petah Tikva become his current team during the period of the move.

At 19, Asante joins the Israeli club with his senior career still at an early stage. The transfer is also a clear change in footballing environment, taking him from Ghana’s domestic competition to a different national league and club structure in Israel.

H. Petah Tikva are the latest club listed for the midfielder, who has been registered in the central midfield position. The move was completed on 18 August, and his contract details with the Israeli club extend through the end of June 2027.

Asante has therefore left Vision FC to continue his career with H. Petah Tikva on loan, with the move formally completed on 18 August 2026.
