Ghana international Abdul Salis Samed is reportedly on his way to Turkey and is expected to sign with Super Lig side Kayserispor.
According to information gathered from key sources, the midfielder has agreed to a move to join the Turkish Club in the coming days.
Samed returned to Stade Bollaert this summer after a loan spell with Sunderland, where a lengthy psoas injury hampered his time in the Championship.
Despite the setback, he played a part in the Black Cats’ promotion to the Premier League. The midfielder remains under contract with French side Lens until June 2028.
French outlet L’Équipe reports that CSKA Moscow had shown interest in the Ghanaian, but a potential move to Russia was ruled out due to the current geopolitical situation.
The strongest offers have come from Turkey, with Kayserispor and İstanbul Başakşehir both pushing for a loan deal.
Samed, who has made 72 appearances for Lens, including six in the 2023/24 UEFA Champions League, is said to prefer staying within Europe’s top five leagues, but a switch to Turkey now appears to be the most likely outcome.
