Ghana’s national football team, the Black Stars, will be without goalkeeper Adam Larsen Kwarasey for their decisive World Cup qualifier against Zambia. Kwarasey, who underwent eye surgery in May, has now suffered a groin injury during a recent match with his Norwegian club Stromgodset. Despite being present at the Ghana camp, tests revealed the extent of the injury, ruling him out for the upcoming match. Foli Adade, a goalkeeper from Medeama, has been called up as a replacement. The match against Zambia is crucial for Ghana’s qualification for the 2014 World Cup.
