Ghana international Jonathan Sowah has emerged as a top transfer target for South African outfit Kaizer Chiefs heading into the summer transfer window, AfricaSoccer.com can report.
Sowah, who departed Ghana for greener pastures in January 2024 currently plies his trade for Tanzanian outfit Singida Black Stars.
In a high-profile signing, the Ghanaian international secured a move to Libyan club Al Nassr Benghazi from Medeama last year before joining the Tanzanian club in January 2025.
As the summer transfer window approaches, the former Medeama star has popped up on the radar of Kaizer Chiefs, who are determined to strengthen their squad for the new campaign following an inconsistent performance.
Sowah, who has three caps for the Black Stars is among the five marquee signings lined up by the Soweto giants this summer. Despite a modest performance for Singida Black Stars, the energetic attacker remains high on Kaizer chiefs transfer list.
Other players on the wishlist of Kaizer Chiefs include Nigerian midfielder Kingsley Michael, forward Djibril Ouattara, Fiston Mayele of Pyramids and Kibu Denis from Simba.
The 26-year-old dominated headlines in Ghanaian top-flight before departing for greener pastures. He was instrumental when Medeama annex the Ghana Premier League title, contributing some important goals towards the club’s success.
