Ghana international Antoine Semenyo is reportedly hoping to seal his move to Manchester City by January 1.

According to sources in England, the Bournemouth attacker is pushing for his switch to the Etihad Stadium to be completed at the start of the new year.

Semenyo is said to be keen on a swift conclusion to the deal, with formal steps towards the transfer expected to be taken within the next 48 hours.

Bournemouth, however, may be reluctant to sanction an immediate exit, as they could look to retain the forward for upcoming Premier League fixtures against Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur. The club are understood to be mindful of Semenyo’s release clause, which is set to expire on January 10, adding an extra layer of urgency to the situation.

The winger has attracted strong interest from several Premier League heavyweights, including Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham.

Despite the competition, media reports suggest Semenyo has made his preference clear, with Manchester City emerging as his favoured destination.

With the January transfer window approaching, the coming days are expected to be decisive as Semenyo looks to secure a high-profile move and take the next step in his career.
