Ghanaian duo, Mohammed Kudus and Antoine Semenyo have been named among five possible players who could replace Mohamed Salah at Liverpool.
Salah’s contract at Anfield comes to an end at the end of the season and according to the Egyptian legend, Liverpool bosses have not made any proposal.
Following their 3-2 win against Southampton on Sunday at the St. Mary’s, the former Chelsea and AS Roma attacker described the situation as ‘more out than in’.
According to Tribuna, Liverpool have pencilled down five players as Mo Salah’s potential replacement which include the two Ghanaian footballers.
Here are five players who could fill the Egyptian’s shoes at Anfield.
Rayan Cherki
Lyon’s Cherki has been linked with a potential move to Liverpool. Valued at around £25 million, the 20-year-old French international has also attracted interest from Bundesliga clubs.
Cherki, whose contract with Lyon runs until 2026, could be a January target for Liverpool, though the club’s level of interest remains unclear.
Mohammed Kudus
West Ham’s Kudus has emerged as another option, with an £85 million release clause active next summer.
The Ghanaian international has already proven his quality in the Premier League and could attract attention from top clubs.
Kudus, 24, has shown he can thrive in Salah’s role, making him a strong candidate should Liverpool pursue him.
Omar Marmoush
Eintracht Frankfurt forward Marmoush is another potential successor. The 24-year-old Egypt international has been in excellent form, scoring 14 goals and providing 10 assists in just 17 appearances this season.
Valued at £33.4 million, Marmoush could be on Liverpool’s radar as early as January, with reports suggesting he is seen as a natural replacement for Salah.
Bryan Mbeumo
Brentford’s Mbeumo has impressed in the Premier League, scoring eight goals this season and ranking behind only Salah and Erling Haaland in the Golden Boot race.
The 25-year-old has been crucial to Brentford’s success and has been linked with Liverpool recently. A move in January might be unlikely, but Mbeumo’s continued form could make him an attractive target.
Antoine Semenyo
Semenyo from Bournemouth has been monitored by Liverpool following his strong performances for the Cherries.
The 23-year-old forward, who had a goal disallowed against Liverpool in September, has scored four Premier League goals this season. Reports suggest Liverpool could consider a move for Semenyo in 2025, depending on his development.
