Maxwell Konadu, the assistant coach of the Ghana Black Stars, experienced a burglary at his residence in Kumasi while he was away inspecting sports infrastructure in Ethiopia, where Ghana has chosen its preparation base camp for CAN 2013. The thieves targeted Konadu’s home and stole valuables, including television sets, jewelry, laptops, and phones.
Upon hearing about the incident, a member of the Kumasi-based Kotoko club contacted Konadu, who confirmed the theft during a call from Ethiopia. The Kumasi police have initiated an investigation into the burglary to identify and apprehend the culprits. The incident adds an unfortunate note to Konadu’s absence as he fulfills his duties with the national team.
