Ghana international, Tariq Lamptey put up a fine performance for Brighton & Hove Albion on Friday night when the team drew 1-1 with Southampton in the English Premier League.
The versatile defender started the match after earning a place in the matchday squad of the hosts.
Playing as the right back of the home team, Tariq Lamptey displayed an impressive performance down the line and provided an assist for attacker Kaoru Mitoma to score in the 29th minute to give Brighton the lead.
That goal separated the two teams at halftime but Southampton came in strong in the second half to spoil the party for the hosts.
A resilient showing from the visiting team saw the side restoring parity in the 59th minute through Flynn Downes.
The match eventually ended in a draw with both teams settling for one point.
Ghana’s Tariq Lamptey played 72 minutes of the game before making way for Lewis Dunk.
His compatriot, Kamaldeen Sulemana also made a cameo appearance for Southampton in the draw today.
