Ghana international, Joseph Aidoo was in action for Celta Vigo on Tuesday night when the team hammered Salamanca 7-0 in the Spanish Copa del Rey.
The Black Stars defender has not played much in the 2024/25 football season due to an injury that kept him on the sidelines for weeks at the start of the campaign.
Now fit and working hard in training, Joseph Aidoo had the chance to start against Salamanca and impressed with his displays in the heart of Celta Vigo’s defense.
In the game today, Celta Vigo wasted no time and scored after just five minutes through Williot Swedberg.
The La Liga side before halftime scored two more thanks to strikes from Hugo Sotelo and Pablo Duran to drag the game beyond the reach of the lower-tier club.
After the halftime break, Celta Vigo continued to dominate the game and blew Salamanca away with four more goals scored by Tadeo Allende, Carlos Dominguez, and a brace from Fernando Lopez.
Ghana’s Joseph Aidoo played 68 minutes of the match and helped his team to keep a clean sheet en route to advancing to the next round of this season’s Spanish Copa del Rey.
