Hearts of Oak and Black Stars goalkeeper Benjamin Asare has received a brand-new car from Alhaji Seidu Agongo, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Class Media Group.
The gesture, made on Wednesday at the club’s commercial center in Ghana’s capital (Accra), comes in response to a viral video that sparked widespread support for the player.
In March, Asare made headlines when he was seen traveling in the front seat of an ‘ovan’ commercial vehicle shortly after his debut for the Black Stars.
The clip quickly gained traction online, drawing mixed reactions from fans and commentators, many of whom called for greater support for local footballers.
Hearts of Oak coach Ouattara has urged Benjamin Asare to use his new car to further develop his football career.

Expressing his gratitude, Asare said, “I thank all the supporters of Hearts of Oak and everyone.
“It is incredible for a lovely gesture to be extended to someone like me.”
He also acknowledged the role of his coach, Ouattara, and others who have supported his journey.
Asare has been a standout performer for Hearts of Oak this season, keeping 15 clean sheets in 24 league matches.
His consistent displays have helped anchor the Ghana Premier League giants’ defense as they chase a strong finish to the season.
Hearts of Oak coach Aboubakar Ouattara, who has been a key figure in Asare’s development, urged him to stay focused, saying, “I’ll tell Asare to utilise the car well.
“He should bear in mind it was as a result of his abilities on the pitch that earned him this prize.”
Hearts of Oak are currently trailing league leaders GoldStars by 10 points with just four games remaining in the season.
