In a friendly match at Baba Yara Stadium, the encounter between Ghana and Gambia concluded with a goalless draw, leaving both teams with shared honors.

Ghana finds itself in Group E alongside Egypt, Cape Verde, and Mozambique in the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations tournament.

The Black Stars initiated the game with an attacking formation featuring Jordan Ayew, the striker from Crystal Palace in the English Premier League, and Inaki Williams, the forward from Athletic Bilbao in Spain.

The second half witnessed the participation of Jonathan Sua, a forward from Medeama, whose name has been linked with a potential move to Pyramids FC and Al Ahly.

The veteran Andre Ayew also entered the fray, receiving a late yellow card.

In a separate fixture, the Mozambique national team secured a late equalizer in the fifth minute of injury time against Botswana, resulting in a 1-1 draw.

These matches serve as the final preparations for Egypt’s competitors in Group E ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations.

The tournament will be hosted by Ivory Coast, commencing on Saturday, January 13, and concluding on February 11.

Mozambique kicks off its campaign with a match against Egypt on January 14, followed by Ghana facing Cape Verde.

The friendly encounters aim to fine-tune strategies and gauge team readiness before the continental championship kicks off in earnest.
