GERVINHO STILL SCORES, ROMA CONSOLIDATES ITS 2ND PLACE IN SERIE A – VIDEO
AS Roma capitalized on the opportunity to solidify their grip on second place in the Serie A standings. In a late fixture of the 22nd matchday of the Italian championship, the Wolves secured a comfortable 4-2 victory over Parma, with the ever-dangerous Gervinho once again stealing the show.
The Ivorian maestro broke the deadlock with a mesmerizing run through Parma’s defense early in the match. Though the visitors briefly equalized thanks to Ghanaian Afriyie Acquah, Totti swiftly restored Rudi Garcia’s side’s lead. In the second half, Pjanic and Taddei further extended AS Roma’s advantage before Biabiany grabbed a late consolation goal for Parma.
