Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang wasn’t the sole African player to shine in the Bundesliga this weekend with his brace. Ghanaian midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng replicated his performance by securing victory for Schalke 04 against Wolfsburg on the 19th matchday, in front of a crowd of over 60,000 supporters.
Boateng’s goal, his sixth of the season since joining from AC Milan, proved decisive for Schalke, propelling them to fourth place in the league standings. Despite being 16 points behind the league leaders Bayern Munich, Schalke remains in contention for a strong finish to the season.
