German outfit Mainz 05 complete the signing of Ivorian teenager Alynho Haidara
German Bundesliga side Mainz 05 have completed the signing of Ivorian teenager Alynho Haidara.
Haidara, 17, joins the club as part of Mainz’s strategic partnership with the FC Mainz 05 Academy in Jacqueville, Ivory Coast, an institution founded by Ivorian-born Burkinabe international Aristide Bancé.
The teenager will officially link up with the Bundesliga side in the 2026/27 season.
The rising star has already made waves on the international stage, finishing as the top scorer at the U17 Africa Cup of Nations earlier this year.
He is also set to feature for the Ivory Coast at the upcoming FIFA U-17 World Cup in Qatar in November.
This is the second signing to emerge from the Jacqueville academy following the pathway agreement.
A few weeks ago, 18-year-old Mokesse Kommando Bamba became the first player to make the move, and he has already made three appearances for Mainz’s U23 side in the Regionalliga Südwest.
Mainz officials have praised the partnership as a key step in securing top young talent for the future, with Haidara seen as one of Africa’s most exciting emerging forwards.
