German-Nigerian winger Karim Adeyemi prefers Arsenal move over Manchester United
Germany international of Nigerian descent Karim Adeyemi is reportedly interested in a move to Arsenal over Manchester United amid uncertain future at Borussia Dortmund.
The 23-year-old enterprising winger’s current contract with the German giants runs until June 2027. After almost three-year spell, the German-Nigerian attacker could depart Dortmund for a new challenge after a fallout with Niko Kovac.
Adeyemi is open to Dortmund departure, as negotiation over a new contract with the German giants have stalled. The enterprising winger was fined €450,000 for possessing prohibited items—a knuckle duster and a stun gun—which he acquired after a failed “mystery box” purchase online.
Amid uncertain future, Adeyemi has reportedly informed Dortmund about his desire to join Arsenal over Manchester United, who are reportedly ready to activate Adeyemi’s £70 million release clause to secure his signature.
This season, the German winger has made fourteen appearances for Dortmund, notching three goals and three assists.
Adeyemi joined Dortmund in summer 2022 and has since established himself as a key member of the team, scoring 29 goals and delivering 22 assists in 121 appearances for the German outfit.
