German-Ivorian defender Jonathan Tah scores to inspire Bayern Munich to big win against Werder Bremen
German defender of Ivorian descent, Jonathan Tah, was on target for Bayern Munich on Friday night, powering the side to a huge 4-0 victory against Werder Bremen in the German Bundesliga.
Tah broke the deadlock in the 22nd minute when his strike deflected off Luis Díaz and found its way into the net, giving Bayern the early advantage.
Harry Kane then doubled the lead just before halftime, calmly converting from the penalty spot after sending goalkeeper Karl Hein the wrong way.
The Englishman struck again in the 65th minute, finishing off a neat assist from Luis Díaz to make it 3-0.
Bayern capped off the night in the 87th minute when Konrad Laimer latched onto a precise pass inside the box and coolly slotted home to seal the dominant win.
The victory further cements Bayern’s strong start to the season. The team has 15 points so far, after winning all five games.
