Germany-born attacker of Ghanaian descent, Farid Alfa-Ruprecht, has completed his anticipated move to Bayer Leverkusen.
The German Bundesliga outfit officially sealed the signing of the talented attacker on Sunday, July 27.
According to the official club statement, the teenager has signed a five-year contract.
“Bayer 04 Leverkusen have completed the signing of winger Farid Alfa-Ruprecht. The 19-year-old German youth international joins from the U21 side of English giants Manchester City. His contract in Leverkusen is set to run until 30 June 2030,” the German club announced.
Speaking on the signing of Farid Alfa-Ruprecht, Bayer 04 managing director of sport, Simon Rolfe,s said the impressive goalscoring of the attacker makes him an ideal player of interest for the first team.
“Farid Alfa-Ruprecht has caught the eye as a winger in the English U21 league. An impressive goalscoring rate, tremendous speed and great footballing talent make him a highly interesting candidate for our first team.”
Director of football Kim Falkenberg also added: “We see clear potential in Farid to become an important player for Bayer 04 in the future.”
