Germany-born defender of Ghanaian descent, Hendry Blank, has completed his switch to Hannover 96.
The youngster has signed for the German club on a one-year loan deal from Austrian club Red Bull Salzburg.
He becomes the ninth signing of Hannover 96 as the club continues to strengthen ahead of the 2025/26 football season.
“Hannover 96’s ninth new signing of the summer is a central defender: left-footed Hendry Blank moves from RB Salzburg to the Maschsee. The 20-year-old German U21 international joins on an initial one-year loan, after which Hannover 96 has an option to buy,” the German club announced on Tuesday, June 24.
Speaking after completing his move, Hendry Blank shared his delight and stressed his readiness to help the club.
“Anyone in Germany who knows a little about football has a connection with Hannover 96. The anticipation of walking into the stadium here is huge. On the pitch, I’m characterised by a certain calmness, especially in situations with the ball and in build-up play.
“When I’m not in possession of the ball, I can sometimes be a bit more aggressive in one-on-one duels. I want to use my strengths to be successful with the team, while also developing myself as much as possible. I’m convinced that I’m in good hands at 96,” Hendry Blank said as quoted by the club’s official website.
